Trip in Sarawak

I came to the Sarawak, and met with the Asia’s biggest caves and longest cave, Mulu Caves and Clearwater Cave. And also I won’t miss out the Niah Caves, the most beautiful caves in Asia.

The first day of my trip is going to Niah Caves, located within the district of Miri in Sarawak, Malaysia. I have been taken about one and half an hour to reach the entrance of Painted Cave from the entrance of Niah National Park.

Along the road, I saw many unique plants and insects. I found the trees are too tall that I never imagine. When I arrived the main entrance of Niah Cave, the natural works stuck in my mind. That was so beautiful!

The second day of my trip is going to Mulu Caves. From Miri to Mulu about half an hour has been taken. Gunung Mulu National Park is one of Nature's most spectacular achievements and the 'jewel in the crown' of Sarawak's expanding network of national parks.

With it's rich bio-diversity, and world-famous caves, Mulu offers the adventurous traveller an exhilarating cave and rainforest experience, possibly unmatched anywhere else on Earth. Most of the travelers stay at the rest area until evening to watch the bats flying out from the cave.

The last day of the trip is going to Clearwater Cave. It has a subterranean river, part of which is navigable by boat. There are two ways of reaching Clearwater. Firstly, you can trek along a 4 km nature trail which takes approximately one and half hours. Alternatively, you can travel by longboat along the Melinau River, usually stopping off at Wind Cave along the way. It normally takes about 15 minutes to reach Wind Cave by boat. When the water level is low the journey takes longer as the boatman often has to jump out of the boat and push.

A plankwalk leads from the riverbank to the entrance of Wind Cave, so named because of the cool breezes which can be felt at the narrow parts of the cave. Wind Cave, which is part of the Clearwater Cave system, has many impressive stalactites, stalagmites, flowrocks, helitites and rock corals, some of which are illuminated in the 'King's Room.'

What is this?

Is this a dragon?

Roar~The greatest dragon fly away!

See? The dragon is just our formation. We are bats!
